Grace Equine provides a welcoming and supportive environment where individuals can experience the physical, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual benefits of working with horses. Through therapeutic horsemanship under the guidance of a registered PATH Intl. instructor, participants are encouraged to develop confidence, independence, communication skills, emotional regulation, body core strength, and a greater sense of accomplishment.
Our program recognizes that every individual is unique. Goals are developed according to each participant’s needs, abilities, and strengths. Activities with the horses may be designed to encourage balance, coordination, body awareness, focus, problem-solving, communication, responsibility, and trust. As participants learn to interact with and care for their horse, they are given opportunities to experience success, overcome challenges, and recognize their own abilities.
At Grace Equine, we also believe that growth can reach beyond physical and emotional development. Our Christian foundation encourages participants to discover hope, purpose, compassion, patience, perseverance, and the value of serving others. Time spent with the horses can provide opportunities to slow down, reflect, build relationships, and recognize God’s grace in everyday experiences.
Spiritual growth is encouraged in a respectful and compassionate manner, with an emphasis on faith, hope, dignity, and personal growth. Participants may be encouraged to consider qualities such as courage during difficult moments, patience when progress takes time, forgiveness when mistakes occur, and gratitude for the abilities and relationships they have been given.
Our goal is not simply to teach someone how to work with a horse. It is to create opportunities for meaningful growth—helping each participant discover that they are capable, valued, and worthy of encouragement. Through the partnership between horse, instructor, participant, and family or caregivers, Grace Equine strives to nurture confidence, connection, independence, and hope.
Grace Equine’s goal is to provide a place where healing, growth, horsemanship, and faith can come together—one person, one horse, and one hoof print at a time.
